Artistic Traces in Langhe Monferrato Roero

ORMA is a widespread programme that connects artistic projects with local territories, creating a shared narrative of the contemporary world.

From May to November 2026, ORMA will unfold across more than 60 municipalities in the Langhe Monferrato Roero area, transforming hills, villages, vineyards and town squares into settings for encounters through exhibitions, artist residencies, permanent installations, workshops and participatory projects.

The 2026 Programme

ORMA’s 2026 programme offers a journey through Langhe Monferrato Roero, inviting visitors to discover artist residencies, region-wide festivals, permanent installations, participatory projects and public art interventions. Together, they create a collective narrative spanning places, identities and contemporary perspectives.

Each initiative retains a strong connection to its host location while contributing to a shared narrative that encourages audiences to experience the region through fresh perspectives and new encounters.

Towards Alba, Italian Capital of Contemporary Art 2027

ORMA forms part of the journey accompanying Alba towards its designation as Italian Capital of Contemporary Art 2027, contributing to the development of a widespread and participatory cultural network.

Within this framework, the project is broadening its horizons by opening a dialogue with Fondazione San Patrignano ETS and Associazione Genesi, two leading organisations working at the intersection of contemporary art, social engagement, civic education and collective awareness.

The application dossier envisages bringing a selection of works from both collections to the Langhe Monferrato Roero area, offering the public an opportunity to engage with works by artists including Mario Schifano, William Kentridge, Michelangelo Pistoletto, Francesco Vezzoli, Anna Boghiguian, Alfredo Jaar and Shirin Neshat.

In this way, ORMA strengthens its role as a cultural platform capable of connecting contemporary art, the local area and social responsibility, supporting the journey towards 2027 through an open, inclusive and shared vision.
