Nestled in the heart of the Alta Langa hills, at 833 meters above sea level, the "Le Nigelle di Langa" trail winds its way, a magical path that will lead you to discover a territory rich in history and nature. The trail, starting from the evocative Chapel of San Bernardino, coincides with stage 1 of the Girasole Trail, a 26 km route that embraces five neighboring municipalities.
Along the trail, divided into 10 stages/entertainment areas, you can retrace the story of the protagonist, discovering with her the characters who will help her find her woodcutter father. The story will guide you to discover the origin of the village of Niella Belbo and the meaning of its name, linked to the Nigella, a blue flower that once colored the hills.
The "Le Nigelle di Langa" trail is an experience suitable for everyone, thanks to its accessibility also for people with disabilities. The information panels, in fact, are equipped with visual-tactile graphics, Braille transcription and four-color printing with transparent relief, to facilitate reading for people with visual and cognitive disabilities.
