Tales of Water: Sculptures in the Landscape, Between Nature and Artifice - Monticello d'Alba
Monticello D'Alba

From June 12 to August 2, 2026, the historic grounds of Monticello Castle will be transformed into an open-air stage to host the iconic installations of the international collective Cracking Art.

To mark the castle’s 650th anniversary, this site-specific exhibition, curated by Carla Testore, invites visitors to explore the dialogue between the castle’s medieval architecture and contemporary art, celebrating the union of sustainability, nature, and regeneration.

The exhibition route winds through the centuries-old trees and ponds of the 19th-century romantic garden, where more than 60 colorful sculptures have found their temporary home. Visitors will encounter penguins, turtles, dolphins, meerkats, a majestic giant elephant, and other animals—all made from recycled plastic.

Visiting hours: Wednesday through Sunday: 10:00 AM – 12:30 PM / 2:30 PM – 6:00 PM

Visits to the Park are self-guided with QR code support; the interior of the Castle is accessible only with a guide.
