From May 20 to 24, 2026, the Bra Children’s Book Fair returns for its 26th edition, a well-established event dedicated to young readers aged 3 to 16.
This year’s theme will be: Like a Detective, A Tribute to Agatha Christie.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place on Wednesday, May 20, at 10:30 a.m. in the Movicentro Meeting Area, in the presence of Bra Mayor Gianni Fogliato and representatives from local institutions and organizations. The opening ceremony will feature a significant civic event: the presentation of the Beppe Manassero Award to Mohammed Timraz, a Palestinian artist and art therapist who conceived the “Artists’ Tent” and the “Heart of Gaza” exhibition, which was also successfully hosted in Bra in recent weeks.
From Wednesday, May 20, to Friday, May 22, the Movicentro will host full-day educational workshops for schools, with the participation of hundreds of students from across the province of Cuneo. For the entire duration of the event, there will also be a large book fair featuring over 15,000 titles for children, organized in collaboration with the city’s bookstores. The weekend, on the other hand, will be dedicated to families, with plenty of events for young and old alike, followed by two special initiatives on the following Monday and Tuesday.
