On Monday, May 25, at 5:30 p.m., the Biblioteca Astense will host the presentation of the book “Asti: Stories from the 16th Century” (published by Team Service) by Rosellina Piano and Maurizio Lanza, in conversation with Alice Blythe Raviola.
The volume offers a valuable perspective on a period of Asti’s history—the 16th century—that remains largely unexplored, and has the merit of providing researchers with a map of sources useful for enriching the city’s historical and cultural profile and shedding light on topics often still relegated to the margins of local historiography.
The moderator of the event is Alice Blythe Raviola: Professor of Modern History at the University of Milan (“La Statale”), she has authored numerous publications on the history of Savoyard Piedmont and Gonzaga Monferrato.
Free admission.
