As every year, on the last weekend of May, the medieval village of Montemagno celebrates Monferrato bread (la grissia) with various events in addition to the market and tastings:
Friday, May 29th – Theater evening
Saturday, May 30th – 4pm Bread and Oil: The Flavors of Yesteryear” – tasting; from 6.30pm Food stands
Sunday, May 31st: visit to the art exhibitions at the Casa sul Portone and under the arches of the Baroque Scalea, market, food and wine stands. At 3.30pm: discussion “Ancient grains and locally sourced flours: a local organic supply chain.”
