On Sunday 26th July, Castiglione Tinella returns to celebrate Virginia Oldoini Verasis, better known as the Countess of Castiglione.
The event, entitled “Virginia Day”, features a historical tour through the town centre, the presentation ceremony for the 2026 Contessa Award, and a concert as part of the programme for the Alba Music Festival / Suoni dalle Colline di Langhe e Roero.

THE COUNTESS’S SECRET CODE THROUGH THE STREETS OF THE HISTORIC CENTRE
Following on from *The Da Vinci Code* in Castiglione comes *The Countess’s Code*: a walking tour led by volunteers from the tourist office, to discover the hidden corners of the town where every detail holds clues and anecdotes about Virginia, the famous Countess of Castiglione.
