From March 14 to June 28, 2026, Palazzo Salmatoris in Cherasco will host L’equilibrio dello spazio (The Balance of Space), an important exhibition dedicated to Caty Torta (Turin, 1920–2014), an original and independent figure in 20th-century Italian art.
The inauguration will take place on Saturday, March 14, at 10:30 a.m. at Palazzo Salmatoris.
In conjunction with this delightful exhibition, a discussion titled “Caty Torta: Between Art and Science” is scheduled for Thursday, May 7. The event will feature Dr. Nadia Pastrone, a particle physicist, and Dr. Cesare Denoyè, a physician and the artist’s son, with journalist Silvia Rosa Brusin serving as moderator. It will be a roundtable discussion, scheduled for 5:30 p.m. in the Sala Reviglio of Palazzo Salmatoris in Cherasco, focusing on Caty Torta: the conversation will explore themes addressed by the painter. Admission to the event is free.
Opening days: Thursday and Friday from 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. - Saturday, Sunday, and holidays from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
