Ruché di Castagnole Monferrato Docg

It has always been considered the wine for special occasions, to share with your family. No historical information is available for the Ruchè grape variety and the little we know is based on oral tradition. This characteristic and fine red wine, known both in Italy and abroad, is produced from Ruchè grapes grown in 7 towns in the Asti province, including Castagnole Monferrato, from which it takes its name, with the addition of Barbera and Brachetto grapes.

A wine with a fruity and aromatic bouquet, in the mouth it reveals a dry, medium-bodied taste, making it suitable for traditional Piedmontese starters such as agnolotti, typical main courses and cheeses. It should be drank usually 2-3 years after bottling and it is best served in Bordeaux chalices at a temperature of 16-18 °C.
