It has always been considered the wine for special occasions, to share with your family. No historical information is available for the Ruchè grape variety and the little we know is based on oral tradition. This characteristic and fine red wine, known both in Italy and abroad, is produced from Ruchè grapes grown in 7 towns in the Asti province, including Castagnole Monferrato, from which it takes its name, with the addition of Barbera and Brachetto grapes.
