The only Docg that groups several types of wine: Arneis, Nebbiolo, Dolcetto, Freisa, Chardonnay, Favorita, which are all produced from grapes grown in 94 towns corresponding to the hilly region of the Langhe in the province of Cuneo, as provided by the Production Regulations (Decree of December 14, 2010).
Langhe Bianco Doc
Grape variety: non-aromatic grapes grown in recommended or authorised vineyards.
Minimum alcohol content: 10,50% vol.
Langhe Arneis Doc
Grape variety: Arneis from the 85% to 100%; while the remaining 15% is made from non-aromatic grapes grown in recommended or authorised vineyards.
Minimum alcohol content: 10,50% vol.
Langhe Arneis Passito Doc
Grape variety: Arneis from the 85% to 100%; while the remaining 15% is made from non-aromatic grapes grown in recommended or authorised vineyards.
Ageing: minimum 10 months.
Minimum alcohol content: 15,50% vol.
Langhe Bianco Passito Doc
Grape variety: Arneis and/or Chardonnay and/or Nascetta and/or Riesling from the 60% to 100%; while the remaining 40% is made from non-aromatic grapes grown in recommended or authorised vineyards.
Ageing: minimum 10 months.
Minimum alcohol content: 13,50% vol.
Langhe Chardonnay Doc
Grape variety: Chardonnay from the 85% to 100%; while the remaining 15% is made from non-aromatic grapes grown in recommended or authorised vineyards.
Minimum alcohol content: 10,50% vol.
Langhe Riesling Doc
Grape variety: Riesling from the 85% to 100%; while the remaining 15% is made from non-aromatic grapes grown in recommended or authorised vineyards.
Minimum alcohol content: 11,50% vol.
Langhe Sauvignon Doc
Grape variety: Sauvignon from the 85% to 100%; while the remaining 15% is made from non-aromatic grapes grown in recommended or authorised vineyards.
