This reserve, established by Mario Incisa, Marquis of Rocchetta and founder of the national WWF, spans 120 hectares on the hills descending towards the Tanaro River. It features chestnut, black locust, oak, cherry, elm, and maple woods, dotted with fragrant flowers from delicate lilies of the valley to primroses, from elegant purple orchids to red lilies. Among these hills, which emerged millions of years ago from the tropical sea that once covered the area, numerous wildlife species now thrive.
