The Sternja is a charming cobbled street that winds through the heart of Canelli, winding between ancient buildings and panoramas dear to renowned authors Pavese and Fenoglio.
A true open-air art gallery, with creations inspired by French illustrator Raymond Peynet, who visited Canelli in 1983 and was enthralled.
Along the panoramic road, nicknamed "Lover’s Way" for its fascinating atmosphere, one can reach the terrace of Costa Belvedere and the Gancia Castle, once a defensive bastion of the Astesan Republic and today a private residence inextricably linked to the family that invented Italian Spumante.
