The first stop could only be Piazza San Secondo, with the Collegiata named after the city's patron saint, then Palazzo del Podestà, one of the city's best-preserved medieval palaces dating back to the 13th century, and Piazza Statuto, with its Torre dei Guttuari (Guttuari Tower), a family that owned several palaces overlooking the square.
Continuing along via Quintino Sella, where the Torre Ponte dei Lombriasco is located, we reach via Roero, where we find the Casa-Forte dei Roero di Cortanze and the Roero di Monteu, once owned by two different branches of the important Roero family. The last two stops of the tour are the Cathedral of Asti, with its Gothic forms, and Palazzo Mazzola, which houses the Municipal Historical Archives and the Museum of the Palio di Asti.
