Spring in the Roero hills offers a unique spectacle: expanses of orchards in bloom that paint the landscape white and pink, amidst intense fragrances and panoramic views taking in vineyards, woods and ancient villages.
On Saturday 21 March, Terre Alte is organising a spring walk that invites you to immerse yourself slowly in nature, following paths that wind through peach, cherry and apricot trees during their flowering season. The route winds through rolling hills and historic farmhouses, with stops to take in the views and discover the farming traditions that have characterised this part of Piedmont for centuries.
At the end of the hike, from 6 pm onwards, those who wish to do so can take part, in the nearby village of Monticello d’Alba, in the special event ‘Canté j’Euv’, an ancient farming custom that used songs to welcome the arrival of the new agricultural season.
Technical details and bookings: Meet at 9.45 am – Departure at 10 am – Piazza Europa, Corneliano d’Alba (Cn) – Route length approx. 14 km – Elevation gain 345 m – Short refreshment break at a scenic spot
