Did you know that a section of the medieval city walls still exists in Asti? They protected the “Recinto dei Nobili” and are an important example of defensive architecture in Piedmont, evidence of the city's economic and political power in the communal era. On Sunday, June 7th, the Asti Host Lions Club is organizing guided tours of the walls of Asti at 11:30am and 3:30pm.
You will find the information gazebo set up in Piazza Cattedrale in Asti (AT) from 11am to 6pm with the collaboration of the Lions Città Murate International Foundation. The aim is to contribute to LCIF childhood cancer projects while purchasing specific equipment for the local Cardinal Massaia Hospital. Volunteers will accompany tourists to the Antiche Mura Tennis Club where the tours will begin.
