Produced in collaboration with ISRAT—the Institute for the History of the Resistance and Contemporary Society in the Province of Asti—the show, featuring readings, testimonials and songs, traces the postwar years, the reconstruction, and the economic boom, following the thread of Italians’ hopes, dreams, and desire to have fun, but also their tragedies. For while we can read our history through the great novels and films of neorealism, we can also do so through the lyrics of Sanremo songs, the discovery of new American rhythms, and the first singer-songwriter songs.
The event will take place in Cerro Tanaro at the Confraternita della Santissima Trinità at 9pm. Free admission
