Radis, the art-in-public-space project conceived and promoted by Fondazione per l'Arte Moderna e Contemporanea CRT, Fondazione CRT's art oriented body, reaches its second edition.

Once again this year, the two institutions will engage in a dialogue with the local area, transforming into concrete actions the idea of widespread heritage that represents one of the statutory missions of Fondazione per l'Arte Moderna e Contemporanea CRT and Fondazione CRT, which has always been committed to widening access to culture and art for all.

Curator Marta Papini invited artist Petrit Halilaj (1986, Kostërrc, Kosovo) to work in the Borgata Valdibà, in the territory of Dogliani (CN).

The area is located in a panoramic spot in the heart of the Langhe, along a road that leads from Dogliani to Monforte d'Alba and that from spring to autumn is a destination for cycling, walking and hiking. Here, next to the Church of San Bartolomeo and its rectory, there is a small two-storey building that until the 1960s was the village school, the reference point for all the children of the surrounding area. In place of the building, which is no longer usable, Petrit Halilaj will create a work from the Abetare series, created from drawings engraved on school desks

The work that will occupy the space left by the former school will be inaugurated on Sunday, 5 October at 11.30 a.m. and will represent a stylised house without walls, populated by invented creatures from both the Langhe and the Balkans who, coming together, will make it a monument to the universal language of imagination and fantasy.
