On Thursday, October 8, the Giro del Piemonte returns—the historic professional cycling classic, now renamed “Gran Piemonte”—which will start in Asti and finish in Bra, after a 185-kilometer route that runs almost entirely along the roads of the Cuneo area.
The start village will be located in Piazza Alfieri, where preliminary activities will begin at 10 a.m. and culminate in the presentation of the 24 registered teams, each composed of seven riders. From there, the competitors will ride at a leisurely pace along Corso Alfieri and Corso Torino; after about 4 kilometers, they will reach “Kilometer Zero” on State Road 10, where the official start will be given at 12:10 p.m.
