Pasticceria Dolce Vita was born in Asti in 1996 from the passion of Alessandro del Trotti. After a long experience as an employee, Alessandro decided to pursue his dream: a pastry shop based on a combination of heart, tradition and local land that found its natural location in the lively centre of Costigliole d'Asti, a village between Langhe and Monferrato, where the pastry chef decided to move his business a few years later. The Dolce Vita baking lab combines the quality of the raw materials used with Alessandro's technique and confectionery art, focusing on a local excellence: the ""Tonda Gentile Trilobata"" (round gentle trilobate) hazelnut. This is how the delicious hazelnut cakes, tarts, soft amaretti biscuits and the now famous Contessine, hazelnut and chocolate treats, are born. Another key ingredient in confectionery is chocolate. From pralines to simple bars to themed subjects and sculptures, the Dolce Vita shop windows are too strong a lure not to cross the threshold and savour one of the superb creations.
