Parking in the historic center is limited. We recommend parking your car at Piazza Pantalera, Viale Mazzini, or Piazza Divisione Alpina.
The village of Guarene, awarded the "Orange Flag" (Bandiera Arancione) by the Italian Touring Club, is a Baroque jewel best explored on foot. The trail signage begins in Piazza Roma, right in front of the Confraternita dell’Annunziata, famous for its stunning trompe l'oeil frescoes.
Taking the path to the left of the Confraternita building, the trail opens onto a wide ridge of vineyards before climbing toward the village’s last remaining hilltop woodland.
As you walk through vineyards, hazelnut groves, and rolling farmland, you will encounter majestic Madernassa pear trees—a local variety—and enjoy open vistas of the central Roero villages.
The loop concludes as you return to Guarene via Via Alessandro Roero, the street leading to the Castle.
