The TRAME LOCALI project has created a pilot itinerary for narrating the territory of Albugnano and Cocconato, two villages in the Monferrato Astigiano area, and its living and intangible heritage, through a participatory approach and tools such as community maps, inclusive storytelling and a collaborative tourism governance model.

Saturday 18 October will be dedicated to the public presentation of the project and collective exploration of the initial results.
In the morning, the results of the participatory design (itinerary, stages and methods of use) will be presented to the local communities, in the presence of local partners and the “guardians”, whose stories are at the heart of the new narrative on the theme of care.

In the afternoon, it will be possible to test the pilot itinerary, co-produced during co-design workshops with public and private stakeholders in the area, giving residents and visitors the opportunity to discover the stories of care connected to the two villages of Albugnano and Cocconato and to visit some of the sites of the Romanesque Network of Collina, thanks to special openings.

To ensure accessibility and inclusive usability, the itinerary will be offered in different formats: short, accessible routes in historic town centres, suitable for almost all levels of mobility; more challenging routes, winding through the vineyards and hilly landscapes of the Monferrato Astigiano, with sections comparable to actual trekking trails.

The day will end with a training and governance workshop with local residents, associations and producers as future “ambassadors” of the itinerary itself.
