- Saliceto
On Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 September, the Castello dei Marchesi Del Carretto in Saliceto will be open for a special event.
The castle will be open from 10:00 a.m. on both days, with the opportunity to visit it accompanied by volunteers.
At 10:30 a.m., for approximately 1.5 hours, there will also be a guided tour of the most beautiful churches in the village (San Martino a Lignera, the parish church of San Lorenzo and the confraternity of Sant'Agostino):
During these days, there will also be a series of side events inside the Castle:
- an art exhibition by artists from Saliceto in the fireplace room, open all day;
- “a weekend with the historian” Guido Araldo, a conference on Saturday at 4 pm, followed by a tour of the historic centre of the village on Sunday, also at 4 pm, to discover the architectural and urban history of Saliceto;
- two jazz concerts to be held in the castle's charming stables, on Saturday at 9 p.m. with the trio ‘The Duet’ (Alberto Bellavia on keyboards, Marco Canavese on drums, Roberto Rebufello on saxophone) and on Sunday at 6 p.m. with the quartet ‘Kind of Four’ (Barbara Aramini on vocals, Marco Canavese on drums, Marco Ferrando on keyboards, and Massimiliano Pettinato on accordion).
All events are free with a suggested donation.
