Back in 2011, Roberto Lembo bought a 6000 square metre property on the hill of Montagliato, in the village of Monforte d'Alba, amidst the splendid Langhe region that has been awarded UNESCO World Heritage status. A charming landscape and the energy provided by the land are an inspiration for him to reflect deeply, and rediscover the benefits that only a life in contact with nature can give. However, he soon finds himself faced with a problem: the land is too big to be a vegetable garden and too small for classic Langhe farming. Some months later, during a trip, he was spellbound by the tale of a Frenchman who cultivated crocus sativus. So the following year, he decided to embark on such an adventure with his friend Furio Dutto, promising not to give up until a product of the highest quality was achieved.
