In 1974, Giuseppe Scagline opened his bar-pastry shop in San Damiano d'Asti's old town. In order to cater for a larger production, over the years he decided to move the premises to Via Garibaldi and later handed the workshop over to Secondo and Gianpaolo, his best pupils, while keeping the artisan vein that marked his work unchanged. After over three decades since opening, Scagline products are created with the same care and skill as in the past. All of Scagline's pastry creations are produced in the laboratory where the origin and integrity of the raw materials can be thoroughly checked. Thanks to the constant focus on the quality of ingredients, combining tradition and innovative research, this artisan workshop has been able to become a reference point for gourmets and flavour connoisseurs over the years.
