The history of the Caudamiele company spans an entire century, namely the 1900s. It is a story of brotherhood, a family history, it is both about the land and the story at the same time. To trace the company's origins we have to go back in time, to 1940, and move to Cascina Valteppe, a site immersed in the Rocche del Roero, in the Montà area.At its origins there are two brothers, Battista and Nicola Cauda, there is a deep love for nature and the rise of a passion, namely for bees, which was born out of curiosity due to a small bee yard of their father's cousin. Over the years, the passion becomes a real job. It was Battista's sons, Claudio and Ferdinando, who founded the Cauda Fratelli company in 1979. A feature of the company is study and research, the drive for innovation, while respecting tradition and the rhythm of nature. They are pioneers in the Italian beekeeping field because they first encouraged the breeding of queen bees, and then, because they invented the rapid transhumance in the 1990s (moving hives with small cranes on trucks) and the modified hive, now used by most beekeepers. In the 2000s, the company became known as ""Caudamiele società agricola semplice"". The story was continued with the integration into the business of their children Daniela and Marco and their son-in-law Matteo, who breathed new life into the long family history, taking the beehives to several regions and working to raise awareness among the younger generations about the environment, biodiversity, health and good nutrition.
