On Sunday 26 October, Tasty Lab kicks off at the Enoteca Regionale del Barolo (entrance on Via Collegio Barolo) in Barolo. This new series of experiential events is part of the Local is Tasty 2.0 project, which brings together wine, food and the local area, transforming sustainability into an experience to be enjoyed and shared.
The title of the first workshop in the new series of events is “Radici” (Roots), an assisted tasting in the form of sensory narration, scheduled twice at 11.30 a.m. and 4 p.m., led by Cristiana Grimaldi, director of the Enoteca Regionale del Barolo, and Federico Moznic, representative of the Cantina Comunale di Novello and the Associazione Produttori della Nas-cëtta del Comune di Novello.
Federico Moznich introduces us to Nas-cëtta, the white grape variety of the Langhe, and the surprising complexity of its pure vinification through a guided tasting of three DOC Langhe Nas-cëtta wines from the municipality of Novello.
Cristiana Grimaldi talks to us about one of the “children of Nebbiolo” through an assisted tasting of two Langhe Nebbiolo DOC wines.
The sensory experience is completed by original signature finger food prepared by “Il Banchetto – Ristorazione & Catering” using selected ingredients, including:
PGI hazelnuts from CORILANGA Società Agricola Cooperativa
snails from the PAOLO BOVE farm
organic chestnut honey from APICOLTURA AVIE by Simone Coppola
saffron from the LA RIVA farm by Ivan Cravero
