Sentiero Rosso (Red trail)
This is an easy route, with little gravel (35%), it is 5.25 km long and can be covered with a walk lasting an hour and three quarters. If you wish, this itinerary can be connected to the “yellow' and “light blue” paths which depart from the centre of Agliano Terme.
The trail begins at the crossroads in Valle Repulento, near the Pozzo dello Zonco, and continues to Lovetta and Fontanino, which you will come across along a small road surrounded by silence, vineyards, hazelnut groves and fields.
Along this trail you will also pass by well-known farms and wineries and at one point you will reach Bric d'Amore from where you can enjoy a stunning view. For a while, you will travel along the border with the municipality of Costigliole d'Asti and you will be able to catch a faraway glimpse of Bricco Lu, in all its charm, one of the most evocative places in Monferrato, where history and legends merge to create an aura of mystery and magic.
Then continue on Vianoce, always totally immersed in nature and in silence, occasionally interrupted only by the singing of pheasants. Once you reach the hamlet of Perno, where there is a votive pillar, continue until you reach the junction to Moasca and at Reg. Rena you will take a grassy road that descends slightly through the vineyards. When you get to the valley floor, continue along the gravel road and you will go back to the crossroads of Pozzo dello Zonco.
