Castiglione Tinella Trails

The Municipality of Castiglione Tinella, approximately dating back to year 1000, is located in Bassa Langa (lower Langa) at 408m asl and it has a population of little less than 900 persons. Nested in the Moscato producing territory, the village offers plenty of suggestions for a walk in the vineyards.

The local tourist and naturalistic pathways – four in total – start from and end in Piazza XX Settembre, located in the village centre. Branch off Castiglione Tinella hills among Moscato vineyards, natural cliffs and woods, tracks are mainly made of white roads, sometimes running through vineyard rows. Visitors can walk along the pathways, indeed two of the proposed pathways – the longer ones actually – are suitable for mountain biking. Animal lovers will have the chance to be accompanied by (goat) kids, donkey foals and horses.

Pathways are named after four persons beloved by village people, who committed to support and value the territory.

It’s possible also to do an easy walk through the vineyards of Moscato to discover the alluring poetry that appears, as if by magic, within the vines. It’s a part of the “Literary Park Verse in the Vineyards”.
