From 3 October to 1 November 2026, the Royal Castle of Govone will host ‘Il gesto attraverso’, a solo exhibition by the artist Albino Pitti dedicated to gestural painting and the relationship between action, material and space.
The exhibition brings to the historic rooms of the Savoy residence the work of an artist who, since the 1970s, has placed the painterly gesture at the heart of his practice, progressively extending its boundaries beyond the traditional surface of the canvas.
On Saturday 24 October at 3.30 pm, visitors will have the opportunity to meet Albino Pitti in person during a Meet & Greet open to the public. The event will be an opportunity to explore the relationship between gesture and material, learn about the artist’s creative process and engage with his conception of painting as a physical and spatial experience.
