Bishop’s Palace (formerly the Macalufo Fortress): Saturday from 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm, Sunday from 10.00 am to 12.00 pm and from 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm
The tour begins at the corner of the small square opposite the Bishop’s Palace, by the Column of Mercy, at the base of which, on Good Friday, the instruments used for capital punishment were burnt during a moving ceremony. It continues inside, through the courtyard and into the charming historic garden, a green space designed in the 18th century. The interior features an important 16th-century hall, embellished with a decorated ceiling and a refined frescoed frieze.
Episcopal Seminary: Saturdays and Sundays from 10.00 to 12.00
The tour will take visitors on a journey of discovery through the Bishop’s Seminary Palace, focusing in particular on the entrance hall with its monumental staircase, the central porticoed courtyard, the refectory—which houses Renaissance and Baroque paintings depicting sacred subjects—and the historic library, containing volumes dating from before 1831
