From 4 October to 16 November 2025, the Sentieri dei Frescanti trails are preparing to host a new and prestigious event: an exhibition that combines art, aesthetics and landscape, with the presence of distinguished guests from the cultural and academic world.
The initiative, conceived and organised by StudioEco Architettura e Paesaggio with the support of the Municipality of Magliano Alfieri – project leader – and realised thanks to the valuable contribution of Fondazione CRC, Fondazione CRT, Banca d'Alba and Ordine dei Cavalieri di San Michele del Roero, is part of an autumn rich in encounters, reflections and discoveries.
The first municipalities involved will be Guarene, Castagnito, Magliano Alfieri and Vezza d'Alba, ready to transform themselves into stages dedicated to dialogue between history, art and contemporary life.

Selfiescapes. Landscapes of tourism

Luca Gibello, journalist and architectural historian, founder and president of Cantieri d'Alta Quota
Beppe Malò, journalist and photographer, with a talk dedicated to landscape in photography

Sunday, 19 October, 5 p.m. – Municipal Theatre, Castagnito
Food in art

Luigi Ferrando, architect and lecturer, will explore the link between nutrition, creativity and culture, between anthropology and artistic representation.

Saturday 25 October, 5pm – Salone degli Stemmi at Magliano Alfieri Castle
Landscape and art

Michael Jakob, lecturer in aesthetics and landscape theory (Mendrisio Academy of Architecture, Milan Polytechnic), curator of international exhibitions and author of documentaries.

Sunday 16 November, 4 p.m. – Multipurpose Centre, Vezza d'Alba
Why we need beauty

Simona Chiodo, full professor of philosophy at the Polytechnic University of Milan, with research experience in Europe, the United States and Asia.

Alongside the scheduled events, there will be special openings of the frescoed sites of the Sentieri dei Frescanti (Paths of the Fresco Painters), running from April to October 2025 in collaboration with the Ecomuseo delle Rocche del Roero, volunteers and the Diocesan Museum of Alba, as well as three animated events dedicated to Pinot Gallizio and Frida Kahlo, curated by the Scirò collective:

27 September – Magliano Alfieri Show dedicated to Pinot Gallizio at the Civic Library

12 October – Vezza d'Alba Show dedicated to Frida Kahlo in the garden of the Sanctuary of the Madonna dei Boschi

19 October – Castellinaldo d'Alba Show dedicated to Frida Kahlo in the space in front of the Church of San Servasio
