On Friday 24 and Saturday 25 July, Slow Food Italia and the Bra Slow Food Chapter, in collaboration with the City of Bra, are inviting residents, members and supporters to two special evenings in the heart of Bra – where it all began – to celebrate forty years of Slow Food Italia’s history together.
The celebrations kick off on Friday 24 July, as part of the City of Bra’s “Open-Air Cinema” programme, with a screening of *Slow Food Story*, Stefano Sardo’s feature-length film chronicling the birth and evolution of the movement. The screening is scheduled for 9.30 pm in the Palazzo Traversa arena, with free admission.
The following day, Saturday 25 July, from 7.30 pm, Osteria Boccondivino and Via Mendicità Istruita will host a large open-air banquet that will keep guests entertained until midnight on 26 July – the day on which, 40 years ago, the founding charter of Slow Food Italia was signed. An evening dedicated to conviviality and the right to pleasure – the value from which Slow Food’s history began and which continues to inspire its work today.
