The Castell'Alfero Palio Committee, under the patronage of the Municipality, is organizing an exhibition dedicated to the traditions and highlights of the Palio. The exhibition, titled “Between Allegory and Heraldry” and curated by the Artistic Commission, opened on Friday, April 17, in the splendid Sala Rossa of the Castello dei Conti Amico in Piazza Castello (the seat of the Municipality of Castell'Alfero) and will be open to the public until May 17, 2026.
Hours:
Monday through Friday: 9:00 AM–12:30 PM
Saturday and Sunday: 9:30 AM–12:30 PM and 3:00 PM–7:00 PM
Special Opening Hours:
April 25 (Fiera Viviverde) 9:30 AM–6:30 PM
May 1 9:30 AM–12:30 PM and 3:00 PM–7:00 PM
The exhibition features costumes and props from the 2025 parade, winner of the Soroptimist Award, along with photographs capturing the atmosphere of the event. Also on display are the Author’s Parchment signed by Viviana Gonella and works by students from schools in Castell’Alfero, created as part of the School Project promoted by the Committee. Rounding out the exhibition are the winning banners from 1997 and 1998 and the 1997 Paliotto, which holds great historical and symbolic value for the Palio.
