On Sunday, June 8, Cherasco adheres for the fourth consecutive year to the “Day of Gardens and Essences,” the event organized by the Municipality in collaboration with the association Terre dei Savoia to promote urban green spaces rich in history, charm, colors and aromas and simultaneously open all the gardens in the network.
The ancient Orchard of the Somaschi Fathers, in the shadow of the dome of the Sanctuary of the Madonna del Popolo, and the Giardino dei Semplici, adjacent to the ancient Church of St. Peter built on the example of the gardens cultivated by monastic communities in the Middle Ages, will be at the center of the event, which will offer tours, workshops and even a presentation of a nature book.
It will be possible to visit the two gardens, which are open to the public from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.: through the free audio guides available by framing the qr code, one can learn about their history and the plants and herbs that make them up.
