New creative workshop at MUDI - Museo Diocesano in Alba: the textile art of the Cathedral's precious liturgical vestments meets the craft techniques of embroidery in a modern key to create an original embroidered postcard together with Zest in the Attic.
Zest in the Attic is a creative project by Chiara Tarditi that deals with contemporary textile art and embroidery, associating it with other art forms such as photography, collage and illustration.
Taking inspiration from vestment decorations, the workshop will highlight an aspect of this textile art that participants can recreate on their own card.
“ARIA DI PRIMAVERA,” the first flower-themed workshop to celebrate the arrival of spring, will be held on Saturday, March 22, at 3:30 pm.
The next meetings will be held on April 12 and May 10, to experiment with new techniques and make new and original creations.
CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION guided tour + workshop
duration: 2 hours and 30 minutes
cost: 25 € per person (including museum admission)
20 € for Torino Musei Subscribers
All materials are provided during the workshop.
Limited places: min 6 - max 10 participants
The workshop is intended for adults and youth ages 14 and older. No embroidery or sewing skills are required.
