Belbo Springs Nature Reserve: "immersed" in the water.
Set in the most remote hills of the Alta Langa, on the border between the provinces of Cuneo and Savona, there is a Nature Reserve, that of the Belbo, the only river to have its source in these hills. While the actual springs are in Montezemolo, soon after that there is a vast wetland area, very green and lush, a large natural basin, protected as a Nature Reserve since 1993. The protected area, which is connected to the Marguareis Park, extends over the villages of Camerana, Saliceto and Montezemolo and encompasses an area that presents different characteristics compared to the usual local ones: the flora, in fact, is different from the nearby woods and features an impressive number of 22 species of wild orchids.
- Saliceto

A special Reserve, because it allows you to put your feet in the water, not just ideally.
There are indeed many puddles, rivulets and marshes scattered around the area which then, as if by magic, gather into a stream that soon narrows along the valley and becomes a river. A sight that can be admired in all seasons, with a keen eye for the specialities that nature has to offer, walking on the dense network of trails, cycling on the Reserve's dirt roads, or passing through on your way to some of the other connected trails, including the GTL. There are many different options, which can also be enjoyed with children, thanks to easy trails designed especially for them (see it. Family Outings - Belbo Springs Nature Reserve).
