Walking where the ocean once lay three million years ago, accompanied by the sound of a live string duo, before gazing at the stars through a telescope.
On 29 August in Cortiglione d’Asti, we look forward to welcoming you to ‘From the sands of the sea to stardust’, the experiential event marking the official launch of Itinerari GeoVibes. An afternoon and an evening to slow down, step away from the clock and experience the local area with all your senses.
Here is the programme:
Nature and Geology: A guided, accessible walk through a former quarry that has been renaturalised, the synergistic vegetable garden and the fossils of the ancient Astian Sea.
Music on the Move: A live string soundtrack featuring Andrea Bertino (violin) and Leonard Plumbini (cello and guitar).
Flavours and Minerals: An organic, locally sourced aperitif dinner hosted by the Lo Zafferano farm, featuring ‘sands of the sea’ and tales of the Earth’s history presented by MAGMAX.
Astronomical Observation: Exploration of the starry sky through telescopes, guided by the Beta Andromedae Amateur Astronomers’ Group.
Event sponsored by: UNESCO Langhe-Roero and Monferrato Association, Asti Palaeontological Park and the Province of Asti. In collaboration with the La Bricula Association.
