Following her artist-in-residence programme in the area as part of the Resté project – Contemporary Art Trails and Experiences in the Langhe – the works of Sara Fratini, illustrator, artist and cultural curator, will be on display to the public at the Chiesa dei Battuti in Montelupo Albese (CN) from Tuesday 14 July to Friday 31 July 2026.
The exhibition brings together the results of the participatory process developed by the artist through meetings, workshops and discussions with the local community, involving residents of the care homes in Rodello and Cerretto Langhe and the children taking part in the Rodello Summer Camp. At the heart of Sara Fratini’s research is the theme of motherhood, understood as both a personal experience and a universal concept linked to care, memory and a sense of belonging.
The exhibition will open to the public on Tuesday 14 July at 9.00 pm at the Chiesa dei Battuti in Montelupo Albese, to coincide with the launch of Mariateresa Lagnasco’s book *Il Tappeto d’Oriente*, featuring a talk by Luciano Marengo. The event will thus combine the presentation of Sara Fratini’s artistic journey with an opportunity for cultural exploration open to the community.
Admission to the exhibition and participation in the book launch are free of charge.
Opening hours: from 10am to 12.30pm and from 2:30pm to 7:30pm
