Celebrating the patron saint’s day of the city of Alba, the Diocesan Museum is organizing special guided tours offering in-depth insights into the history of Saint Lawrence, a third-century martyr.
On the afternoon of August 10th, the Mudi will be open to visitors from 2.30pm. to 6.30pm, and the public will have the opportunity to learn about the history of the ancient Cathedral of Saint Lawrence, from its sixth-century origins through to the twelfth-century reconstructions, The museum tour is self-guided and supported by new digital content and updated audio guides, which visitors can access using their own smartphones by scanning the QR codes placed along the museum route.
Admission to the museum is €5 for adults, €2.50 for ages 6 to 18, and free for children under 6 and Torino Musei passholders.
During “La Notte di San Lorenzo,” two guided tours of the cathedral’s Romanesque bell tower will be held in the evening at 9pm and 10pm.
