Giro d'Italia - Bra-Rivoli

After a 24-year absence, the Giro d'Italia will return to Bra on 18 May 2023, marking the start of the 12th stage Bra-Rivoli.
Bra-Rivoli, the only stage of the Giro in the province of Cuneo, will cover a distance of 179 km and an elevation gain of 2,300 metres, marked by the organisers with three stars (medium difficulty). A route that in the first part will run across a fabulous setting, Langhe and Roero, Unesco World Heritage since 2014, with roads passing through endless vineyards, crossing landscapes that have made wine history in the world.
The start of the Bra-Rivoli stage will be a memorable sporting and agonistic event, but also a great celebration, as well as an extraordinary opportunity for promotion and visibility for the whole area. Many dedicated events will accompany us on our journey towards 18th May: the scheduled events kick off on 26th January, exactly 100 days before the start of the Giro, when the city and its main monuments - in particular, the Zizzola and Piazza Caduti per Libertà - will be pink-tinged. This will be followed by a Gala evening at the Politeama Theatre, open to all passionate supporters, to get a closer look at the stage details, in the presence of illustrious guests and great champions of the past and the present, as well as themed entertainment and promotional events. The programme also includes a non-competitive Pedalata Rosa race, the 30th edition of the Bra-Bra gran fondo race, as well as exhibitions, showcases of excellence, and many events involving families, schools, commerce, tourism, and volunteer work.

Bra-Bra Specialized – Fenix Grand Prix
It's back this year the Granfondo cycling Bra-Bra - Specialized valid in the circuit of the Piedmont Cup.
Meeting point in Pollenzo - Bra, on Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II, at the Agenzia di Pollenzo.
Registration, license verification and race package delivery on Saturday, the 29th of September from 9 am to 7 pm and on Sunday, the 30th of April from 9 am to 7 pm.

Movies and bike
Themed movie screenings are scheduled, on Wednesdays, at city cinemas to narrate the world of cycling from different points of view. Starting with "Il Migliore" (Cinema Impero), continuing with "L'ultimo chilometro" (Cinema Vittoria), "77 giorni" (Cinema Vittoria), "Alla ricerca del grande fiume" (Cinema Vittoria), "La bicicletta verde" (Cinema Impero) and ending with "Wonderful Losers. A different world" (Cinema Vittoria).
Bicycle on show
Exhibition dedicated to the bicycle, a key player in history, in the urban landscape and the new mobility solution of our times. On display are one of the first pink jerseys, the bikes of the trades and the uniforms of some of the city's cycling teams. A special space dedicated to the writer Giovanni Arpino, a long-time Giro lover and a much esteemed sports reporter. In collaboration with the Luciano Cravero Bicycle Museum. Inauguration on Saturday 6th May at 6 p.m. Opening hours Thursdays to Mondays 9-12.30 a.m. and 3-6 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays 9am-12.30pm
Fabrizio Bosso Quartet
Trumpeter Fabrizio Bosso pays tribute to the musical genius of Stevie Wonder in his new album We Wonder with a selection of tracks from a wide repertoire spanning a period from the late 1960s to his last record release in 2004: Another star, Isn’t she Lovely, My Cherie Amour, as well as Sir Duke, Moon Blue and many others.

Bike in town special edition
Special edition of the traditional cycle-touring ride organised by the Uisp of Bra. Departure from Piazza Caduti per la Libertà, the route continues along Viale Madonna Fiori to reach Bandito (refreshment point), and returns to the old town along Via Sobrero and Via Euclide Milano. Young and old alike will be able to enjoy a day of sport, all in the name of health and the environment. Meeting point at 9.30 a.m. and departure at 10 a.m.
Pink night
The major Giro celebration: aperitifs, music, meetings, gourmet dinners, shopping and museums open until midnight
Along the stage route
This is a unique opportunity for all Giro lovers: a cycling tour in pink along the first stretch of the Bra-Rivoli stage route. Departure and arrival in Bra. Free pink jersey for all participants.
Bike Experience
A "bike world" showcase organised by Atl Langhe Monferrato e Roero, Atl del Cuneo and Confartigianato Cuneo. A great chance for two-wheel enthusiasts to discover a preview of the new models on the market.
