Vinchio Trails
“Vinchio was my nest. My roots, my father and my mother must have planted them deep in this hilly land, if there has not been a day in my life when my mind has not returned to the peach tree on the San Michele hilltop, to the Settefiglie meadows, to the shell-like rows of the Montedelmare vineyard”.
Davide Lajolo was a partisan, journalist, poet and member of parliament, but above all a son of these harmonious hills that often appear in his literary work. Today, the Cultural Association named after him conducts research and studies on his figure, organises events and cultural manifestations, and promotes these lands by offering visitors "narrated" nature trails: those paths so dear to the writer, along which one can recall his words and the symbolic places of his life. Loop trails, not too demanding, also suitable for families with children, running through the pristine beauty of the Val Sarmassa Nature Reserve and through the most scenic hilltops of the southern Asti area.
