Trails in Agliano Terme

Agliano and its rings. We are not talking about a new element of the solar system, but about a network of trails that in their own way stand out among the Langhe Monferrato Roero trail network proposals. Therefore, it is one itinerary but with many trails to discover an area known for its highly appreciated thermal waters and less so for the beauty of the surrounding landscape.

We are in Agliano Terme and the tour that we suggest consists of 6 loop trails that can be covered separately, for a total of 35 km through the vineyards that have received the prestigious UNESCO recognition.

These are family-friendly routes, some of which are also accessible to pushchairs. The asphalted roads alternate with dirt roads, paths and grassy tracks. They are ideal all year round, except in the months when the hills are covered in a white layer of snow: in this case, the boldest ones could indulge in pleasant snowshoeing and enjoy the landscape, which is always impressive.

Each trail departs from the centre of Agliano Terme. At the tourist information point you can pick up a map and choose the most suitable trail for you, based on your time requirements and the energy of your travel companions, especially the youngest ones. 

The six trails (ranging from the 7.km of the most demanding trail and the 3.5 km of the easiest one), marked out by the CAI in collaboration with the Associazione Barbera di Agliano and identified with different colours, will ensure a full immersion in nature, amidst the colours and scents of these gentle hills.   You will pass through hamlets and find plenty of wine cellars and refreshment points where you can take a break if you wish. The best Barbera d'Asti with an appetizer based on local products is ideal for a sustainable happy hour with the true taste of tradition.
