Prunetto Trails
Legend has it that here there was once a large expanse of pink plum trees with magnificent blossoms in spring. Whether it is because of the plum trees or the strategic location, Prunetto has an ancient history as proven by its stone houses and its charming medieval castle that, with its shape, the surrounding landscape and... a bit of imagination, you could picture as the summer residence of the Sheriff of Nottingham. Are you intrigued? Then all you have to do is reach this splendid village, which, from its 750 metres above sea level, on the ridge between the Bormida and Uzzone Valleys, welcomes you with its traditions, its clear air that smells like sea, and with views ranging from the Ligurian Apennines to the Cottian Alps: landscapes to be admired as you walk along the trails designed and traced for you to fully appreciate the beauty of these places.
