Pathway 3

Rio Chirella – Giacosa – Bongiovanni

Starting point of the itinerary is Piazza Baracco, from where it goes down Viale Rimembranza to reach the hamlet of Bongiovanni, before continuing in a north-eastern direction. After approximately 600 metres it turns left towards the Giacosa district. From here it turns left again onto a paved road, but at the third bend it continues along the headland to Cascina Pajoré. After this hamlet, the path reaches the northern boundary of the municipal territory and turns left, following it as far as Cascina Rossotto.

After passing the first houses in the Pertinace district, the path turns left, to reach Cascina Rombone after about a kilometre. Continue along the path, which is now a dirt track, to Cascina Rio Chirella, then Cascina del Rio and finally the hamlet of Casotto.

The path turn then right, initially on a headland and then bordering a deep gully to the right. It climbs up through the vineyards, the true value to admire for all the path, to the village of Treiso, approaching it from the North.
