Ring Serralunga d’Alba - Sinio - Roddino - Monforte d’Alba – Serralunga d’Alba
Serralunga d’Alba - Sinio
From piazza Capellano, go to the Town Hallo and carry on along the top of the hill that separates the Sinio branch of the Talloria river of from that of Castiglione Falletto, from where you can enjoy fantastic views. Turn left onto a dirt track running through the vineyards and go up to the top of the hill in front of you to then go down what is first a gravel road and then becomes a dirt track. Continue along this path until you come to a nougat factory near Sinio.
Sinio - Roddino
From here, turn right onto the dirt road that runs along the valley floor and then continue up the hill to Bricco del Gallo. Continue along a road with spectacular views that is asphalt at first and then becomes a dirt track, until you reach the chiesetta di Santa Maria, where you will find a rest area with picnic tables and a drinking water fountain. There is another short stretch of asphalt and then you turn left and follow a road that first takes you downhill and then up through a hazelnut grove to bring you to Roddino.
Roddino – Monforte d’Alba
After several hundred metres along the road towards Dogliani, turn right onto a dirt track that takes you through a broad valley with fields and pastures to arrive at the hamlet of Torricella. Turn right onto the country road and follow it for 200 metres, turn left when you come close to a golf course and continue down this dirt track through the woods and vineyards until you reach the valley. Continue up to Cascina Manera and then follow the panoramic road along the hilltop until the hamlet of San Giuseppe.
At this point you have two possibilities:
a) continue along the asphalt road to Monforte d’Alba;
b) turn right onto the blue S.6 path and continue on to the cemetery and the Monforte d’Alba.
Monforte d’Alba – Serralunga d’Alba
From Monforte d’Alba, head towards the cemetery. Continue straight down the asphalt road that becomes a dirt track for the last 200 metres until you get to the Talloria stream. Turn left into a poplar plantation, and then continue up along the dirt track through the vineyards until you reach Collaretto. Here you will have a beautiful view of the castle of Serralunga d’Alba; continue along the cement road until you reach the village.
