Lungo Belbo Trail
The trail runs along the Belbo river and connects the centre of Cossano with Rocchetta and Santo Stefano Belbo. If covered in its entirety, the trail starts right at the outskirts of Santo Stefano Belbo and ends in Rocchetta. From Cossano, you may decide to walk along just a part of it, bearing in mind that it is linear and not a loop. The trail crosses the Sentiero Belvedere downstream of the village and the Sentiero Masino upstream.
Thanks to the nearby water, flora and fauna are predominant: the flora is lush and colourful with typical flowers and shrubs, as well as trees that provide shade along the way. Wildlife is also extensive, with birds such as the Grey Heron and Mallard, as well as reptiles and amphibians typical of wetlands. The ichthyofauna is mainly represented by barbel and bleak, which are particularly common in the spring when the waters of the Belbo Torrent flow more abundantly.
Therefore, the trail ensures total immersion in nature, to breathe deeply and recharge both mind and body.
