Tour of the Five Towers on a MTB – Leg 1

The itinerary starts from Canelli, a UNESCO site, and follows the uphill path 313 in the direction of Loazzolo; once you reach the SP 120 road, continue in the direction of Cassinasco along path 512, then follow the direction of Santuario Nostra Signora dei Caffi on path 501 as far as you reach the centre of Cassinasco. In the upper square stands the 10th century tower.

From here, you continue on path 511 A along the so-called “Sentiero del Moscato"(Muscat Path) to Bric Rovetto (484 asl). You follow on path 506, cross the Regnassini hamlet, meet the former church of San Bernardo (equipped resting place) and descend to Monastero Bormida, stage point. From the centre of village, you continue on path 500A until you reach San Desiderio.

Here there is the connection with the path 571 of the itinerary of the Country Churches and Calanchi. After a few minutes you reach the centre of Ponti.
