
Cammino delle Colline Sacre (The Sacred Hills Walk)
The Cammino delle Colline Sacre trail is an itinerary that winds through the northern Asti area, almost on the border with the Province of Turin. 6 legs for a total length of 40 km, with moderate gradients and low-traffic roads.
Travelling from Albugnano to Montiglio Monferrato, to discover treasures of sacred art known throughout the world. The starting point is the Abbey of Vezzolano, one of the most important Romanesque sites in the Asti area, a real gem surrounded by greenery and providing unique emotions.
There are many opportunities to stop along the way and observe fine examples of Romanesque architecture in chapels and churches as well as be totally engrossed in the history of Don Bosco, one of the Social Saints who in the 19th century had the great insight to help the weakest, and it was in Castelnuovo Don Bosco that he founded the Salesian mission that today is well-known all over the world.
