All aboard! Take a trip back in time through the enchanting UNESCO landscapes.
Thanks to memorable pages of literature that have made it a myth, the train is and will continue to be for many generations one of the most charming means of transport and, perhaps, the best way to enjoy some unique landscapes, which seem to be scrolling through the windows as in a movie. Therefore, the best way to visit Langhe Monferrato Roero, whose unique landscapes have been awarded UNESCO recognition, is aboard a train, or preferably a historic train. Please take a seat in a vintage, wooden-seated carriage pulled by a steam or diesel locomotive and discover what the area has to offer. You will be able to do this thanks to one of the many historic trains which, departing from Turin, will run through our hills, following a rich calendar of initiatives which will develop into real food and wine events.

These trips, organized in collaboration with Fondazione Ferrovie dello Stato (the Italian state railways foundation), are marked by a variety of food and wine moments as well as the enthusiastic participation of the Landscape Storymovers guides, who will get on board during the trip to tell adults and children all about the local area. In addition, there will be tastings of great wines, lunches or picnics depending on the destination, visits to wineries and tours of the main villages reached by the train. You can also bring your bicycle on board, go shopping and take home some bottled souvenirs or other goodies.
